Yoga is the settling of the mind into silence

My teaching is inspired by the much-needed calm and clarity that I find in my yoga and meditation practice.
I teach regular classes, workshops and courses in Brighton & Hove and London, as well as occasional retreats elsewhere in the UK. My approach to yoga is based on the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli and TKV Desikachar. I continue to develop and nourish my practice by working with teachers including Pete Blackaby, Chloe Fremantle, Dominique Moorsom and Sarah Ryan.
I teach asana (yoga postures) with an awareness of the breath and the support of the ground, enabling the release of tension and increased freedom of movement. I also enjoy using pranayama (breathing exercises), mudra (hand gestures) and mantra (sound) to help bring steadiness and quiet to the mind.
